On January 21, 2026, the release notes for Valve's "The Fourth Season" update changed which collections the weekly care package draws from. Two all-new collections went in, Harlequin and Achroma, and four older ones came out: Safehouse, Dust 2, the 2018 Nuke Collection and the 2018 Inferno Collection. It was the second change to that list in Valve's release notes, after the Ascent, Boreal and Radiant rotation of March 2025.
What changed in the care package
Prime accounts get a weekly care package after their first rank-up of the week and pick two of four rewards, which can include weapon skins from the collections on this list. Our drop pool guide explains the details.
Valve's announcement didn't name the pair. It said: "One has color and the other one does not. We'll let you figure out which is which." Harlequin is the colourful one, Achroma the black-and-white one. Between them they hold 39 skins:
| Collection | Skins | Classified skin | Browse |
|---|---|---|---|
| Harlequin | 19 | M4A1-S Party Animal | Buy |
| Achroma | 20 | AWP The End | Buy |
Both have the same shape as the 2025 drop collections: Consumer Grade up to a single Classified skin, with no Covert tier. They are smaller, though. Ascent, Boreal and Radiant had 28 or 29 skins each.
The four removed collections stopped arriving through drops from that day, so the copies already in circulation are all that route will ever produce.
The Harlequin Collection
- Classified: M4A1-S | Party Animal
- Restricted: AWP | Exothermic, USP-S | Sleeping Potion
- Mil-Spec Grade: Five-SeveN | Fraise Crane, Galil AR | Sky Mandala, UMP-45 | Warm Blooded, Zeus x27 | Earth Mandala
- Industrial Grade: MP5-SD | Picnic, MP7 | Coral Paisley, SSG 08 | Calligrafaux, Tec-9 | Banana Leaf, XM1014 | XoooM
- Consumer Grade: CZ75-Auto | Honey Paisley, FAMAS | Byproduct, MP9 | Bee-Tron, PP-Bizon | Thermal Currents, R8 Revolver | Mauve Aside, SG 553 | Safari Print, Sawed-Off | Crimson Batik
Several of the lower-grade names point to textile and print patterns: two paisleys, two mandalas, a batik and a safari print. According to the Counter-Strike Wiki, the game's localisation files call it the Exuberant Collection.

The Achroma Collection
- Classified: AWP | The End
- Restricted: AK-47 | Breakthrough, Glock-18 | Trace Lock
- Mil-Spec Grade: AUG | Creep, Desert Eagle | The Daily Deagle, P2000 | Grip Tape, P90 | Aeolian Light
- Industrial Grade: FAMAS | Vendetta, M4A4 | Aeolian Dark, MAC-10 | Snow Splash, MP5-SD | Snow Splash, R8 Revolver | Dark Chamber
- Consumer Grade: Dual Berettas | Silver Pour, M249 | Sleet, MP9 | Dizzy, Nova | Currents, P250 | Sleet, PP-Bizon | Bizoom, SCAR-20 | Zinc, SSG 08 | Sans Comic
A few finishes come in pairs across two weapons: Aeolian Light on the P90 and Aeolian Dark on the M4A4, Snow Splash on both the MAC-10 and the MP5-SD, and Sleet on the M249 and the P250.

The four collections that left
All four removed collections are older map collections, and none of them has a Covert skin:
- Safehouse tops out at Restricted, with the M4A1-S | Nitro.
- Dust 2 has one Classified skin, the R8 Revolver | Amber Fade, and the P2000 | Amber Fade at Restricted. Valve's notes just say "Dust 2"; the Counter-Strike Wiki takes that to mean the original Dust 2 Collection, not the 2021 one.
- 2018 Nuke Collection has two Classified skins, the Tec-9 | Remote Control and the M4A1-S | Control Panel.
- 2018 Inferno Collection has two Classified skins, the Dual Berettas | Twin Turbo and the SG 553 | Integrale.

Leaving the drop list doesn't take a skin out of the game. Existing copies keep trading, and lower-grade skins from these collections can still be traded up into their higher grades. What ends is the weekly trickle of new copies from care packages. For how the different routes compare, see collections vs cases.
What it means for collectors
The upper tiers are small. Harlequin and Achroma each have one Classified and two Restricted skins, and everything else sits at Mil-Spec or below.
That matters for trade-up contracts, where ten skins of one grade return one skin of the next grade, picked from a collection of one of the inputs. Ten Restricted inputs from a single one of these collections can only produce its Classified skin, because each collection has just one. The Classified skins can't go into a contract themselves, since they are already the top grade of their collection.
There are no StatTrak versions, as with other drop collections. Souvenir copies exist, though, because the Souvenir-O-Matic that Valve introduced for the Cologne 2026 Major can turn a weapon you own into a Souvenir. Our StatTrak vs Souvenir guide explains how that works.
The rest of the patch
The same release notes started Premier Season Four, put Anubis back into Active Duty in place of Train, cut the price of the MP7, MP5-SD and PP-Bizon, reworked jumping and landing, rotated five community maps in and four out, and added the AK-47 | Aphrodite to the Armory as a Limited Edition item. All of that is covered in our Premier Season Four article.
Where it stands now
None of Valve's release notes up to October 2026 change the care package list again, so Harlequin and Achroma are still on it, along with Ascent, Boreal and Radiant from March 2025. Cases and terminals in the weekly drop are a separate question, covered in our drop pool guide.
The next update covered here is the Dead Hand Collection of March 2026, which brought the second terminal and 22 new gloves.
