CS2 Spring Forward update (March 2025): Fever Case, Chroma Shattered Web knives, Train 2025

On March 31, 2025 the Armory added the Fever Case with Shattered Web knives in Chroma finishes, the Train 2025 Collection and the XM1014 | Solitude. Full skin lists and knife pool.

On March 31, 2025, Valve released "Spring Forward", an update that refreshed the Armory with three new items: the Fever Case, a reworked map collection called Train 2025, and a limited edition XM1014 | Solitude. The same patch added three collections to the weekly care package and gave Inferno and Train a clean-up, which we cover separately in the Ascent, Boreal and Radiant article.

What the update added

All three items are Armory content, so you get them by spending Armory Credits earned with an active pass rather than through weekly drops. The Armory explainer covers how passes and credits work.

Fever CaseWeapon case: 17 community finishes plus knives2 credits, then a key to open it

Prices are as listed by the Counter-Strike Wiki; esports.gg reported the same case and XM1014 prices at launch.

The Fever Case

Valve described the Fever Case as "featuring 17 weapon finishes from community contributors and Shattered Web knives in Chroma finishes." Like the Gallery Case before it, it is bought in the Armory instead of dropping in the weekly care package, as our drop pool guide explains. Redeeming one costs credits, and opening it still takes a Fever Case Key.

The 17 finishes, grouped by rarity:

  • Covert: AWP | Printstream, FAMAS | Bad Trip
  • Classified: AK-47 | Searing Rage, Glock-18 | Shinobu, UMP-45 | K.O. Factory
  • Restricted: Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike, Galil AR | Control, Nova | Rising Sun, P90 | Wave Breaker, Zeus x27 | Tosai
  • Mil-Spec Grade: M4A4 | Choppa, MAG-7 | Resupply, MP9 | Nexus, P2000 | Sure Grip, SSG 08 | Memorial, USP-S | PC-GRN, XM1014 | Mockingbird

The headline skin for many players was the AWP | Printstream, which puts the black-and-white Printstream look, already known from the M4A1-S and Desert Eagle versions, on the AWP. You can browse the whole set on Buy.

Rare special items

The gold tier holds the four knives from Operation Shattered Web in November 2019: the Nomad, Paracord, Skeleton and Survival knives. The Fever Case was the first case to offer them in Chroma finishes, the six knife finishes that first appeared in the Chroma Case in January 2015:

  • Damascus Steel
  • Doppler, in seven phases: Phase 1 to Phase 4, Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl
  • Marble Fade
  • Rust Coat
  • Tiger Tooth
  • Ultraviolet

Doppler phases change a knife's value a lot, so check the phase before you buy; our Doppler phases guide explains what each one looks like. For how the four models handle and inspect, see the knife types guide.

The Train 2025 Collection

Train came back to CS2 in November 2024, as covered in our Train article, and entered the Active Duty pool with Premier Season Two in January 2025. Two months later its old collection left the weekly drop list and a new one arrived in the Armory. Valve said the collection "gets a revamp featuring designs inspired by the map's graffiti, location, and more."

The 16 skins:

  • Covert: AWP | LongDog
  • Classified: M4A4 | Hellish, MP9 | Latte Rush
  • Restricted: MAC-10 | Derailment, Tec-9 | Whiteout, Zeus x27 | Charged Up
  • Mil-Spec Grade: FAMAS | 2A2F, Glock-18 | Green Line, UMP-45 | Late Night Transit, XM1014 | Run Run Run
  • Industrial Grade: AUG | Steel Sentinel, CZ75-Auto | Copper Fiber, Galil AR | Green Apple, Nova | Rain Station, P250 | Constructivist, P90 | Straight Dimes

There is no knife or glove tier, as with the other Armory weapon collections. Each redemption gives you one random skin, with the rarer tiers less likely, and skins from the same collection can be combined in trade-up contracts to reach the next tier. Train souvenir packages at the 2025 Austin and Budapest Majors also drew from this collection, so Souvenir copies exist too; our souvenir package guide explains how those work.

The XM1014 | Solitude

The third addition was a new limited edition item, the second after the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, which had left the Armory in January 2025. Valve said the XM1014 | Solitude's "mountainous pattern comes in a wide range of variations", so the look differs from copy to copy. It is a Restricted skin and cost 15 credits, less than the 25 the Heat Treated Deagle had cost. Limited edition items stay in the Armory only for the period shown on their tile, so the window to redeem one was always going to close.

Map changes in the same patch

The patch also gave Inferno and Train what Valve called "Spring cleaning": cleaner surfaces, less clutter and, on Inferno, a Banana adjusted to "more closely match the size of the CS:GO version." The full list sits in our drop collections article.

Where it stands now

  • XM1014 | Solitude: on August 14, 2025 Valve announced it was "refreshing the Limited Time item" with the M4A1-S | Solitude, covered in our August 2025 article. The Counter-Strike Wiki lists the XM1014 as a former Armory item.
  • Train 2025 Collection: Valve's July 8, 2026 notes said it was "no longer available in the Armory", alongside Sport & Field.
  • Fever Case: none of Valve's release notes up to October 2026 announce its removal, and the Counter-Strike Wiki still lists it among current Armory items.

Skins from the collection and the case keep trading after they leave the Armory; what changes is that no new copies are redeemed. For how new containers interact with older ones on the market, see how new cases move skin prices.
