Driver, Moto, Hand Wraps, Hydra and Broken Fang gloves in CS2 explained

Five CS2 glove types in one guide: every Driver, Moto, Hand Wraps, Hydra and Broken Fang finish, the cases and terminal behind each set, and what to check on wear.

This guide covers five glove types: Driver Gloves, Moto Gloves and Hand Wraps, which have appeared in every glove set since 2016, and the Hydra and Broken Fang Gloves, which each appear in only one. Between them they account for 52 finishes. Sport and Specialist Gloves have their own guide, and the basics of glove types and wear are in our gloves guide.

Where each type comes from

TypeFinishesContainers
Driver Gloves20All three glove sets and the Dead Hand Terminal
Moto Gloves12All three glove sets
Hand Wraps12All three glove sets
Hydra Gloves4Set 2 only: Clutch Case, Revolution Case
Broken Fang Gloves4Set 3 only: Operation Broken Fang Case, Snakebite Case, Recoil Case

Set 1 came with the Glove Case in November 2016 and returned in the Operation Hydra Case in May 2017. Set 2 began with the Clutch Case in February 2018, and Set 3 with the Operation Broken Fang Case in December 2020. The game's item files confirm that the Revolution Case reuses the Clutch list and the Recoil Case the Broken Fang list.

When Valve added the Dead Hand Collection on March 11, 2026, with "22 all-new gloves as rare special items", eight were Driver Gloves. Moto Gloves, Hand Wraps, Hydra Gloves and Broken Fang Gloves got nothing new. Our Dead Hand article covers that release.

Driver Gloves

The in-game description: "These driving gloves offer protection from the elements while still maintaining tactile sensation."

Set 1Convoy, Crimson Weave, Diamondback, Lunar Weave
Set 2Imperial Plaid, King Snake, Overtake, Racing Green
Set 3Black Tie, Queen Jaguar, Rezan the Red, Snow Leopard
Dead HandBrocade Crane, Brocade Flowers, Dragon Fists, Garden, Hand Sweaters, Plum Quill, Seigaiha, Wave Chaser

The early pairs are leather and suede designs. In the game text, Lunar Weave interweaves midnight blue suede with jet black leather, Crimson Weave black suede with scarlet leather, Convoy mixes soft brown leather with dyed suede, and Diamondback combines tan and black leather with snakeskin. The 2018 set adds King Snake in white leather and snakeskin, Imperial Plaid in flannel and leather, Overtake in black and tan leather, and Racing Green, a green pair with grey leather woven in a chevron pattern.

The later pairs have no individual text, but their internal names in the game files describe them: Snow Leopard and Queen Jaguar are white and yellow jaguar prints, and Seigaiha is a metallic blue scallop pattern. With 20 finishes, Driver Gloves are now the largest glove type.

Moto Gloves

"These bulky hard knuckled gloves can protect the wearers hands from road rash at 60 mph," says the in-game description. The Counter-Strike Wiki notes that the word "TORTUE" is printed on the index finger.

Set 1Cool Mint, Eclipse, Spearmint, plus the comic-book pair Boom
Set 2Polygon, Transport, Turtle, plus the comic-book pair POW
Set 33rd Commando Company, Blood Pressure, Finish Line, Smoke Out

In game, both comic-book names end in an exclamation mark, and both pairs are covered in comic-book onomatopoeia, the 2018 one in brighter colours. Eclipse is described as the original classic black design "that made Tortue a household name", Spearmint as white leather with red stitching, and Cool Mint as soft blue leather with arctic geometric designs. Turtle is green and grey with bright orange accents, Transport has a subtle digital camo, and Polygon mixes man-made materials and leather in shades of blue.

Hand Wraps

The in-game description: "Preferred by hand-to-hand fighters, these wraps protect the knuckles and stabilize the wrist when punching."

Set 1Badlands, Leather, Slaughter, Spruce DDPAT
Set 2Arboreal, Cobalt Skulls, Duct Tape, Overprint
Set 3CAUTION, Constrictor, Desert Shamagh, Giraffe

The Set 3 pair CAUTION is also written with an exclamation mark in game. Leather is made of "leather, gauze, and wicked intent", Slaughter is dyed crimson, Spruce DDPAT is printed with grey digital camo, and Badlands is DIY protection made of scavenged materials. In the 2018 set, Duct Tape is scavenged, durable and not especially breathable, Cobalt Skulls is blue bias tape printed with skulls, Overprint is black bias tape with rubberized geometric patterns, and Arboreal is dyed in forest camo. The wiki adds that Hand Wraps | Leather hides a headshot icon in its design.

Hydra and Broken Fang Gloves

Both are fingerless gloves "decorated with metal studs" and an operation logo, Operation Hydra's or Operation Broken Fang's. The Bloodhound Gloves from Set 1 are the third type built this way, and the wiki notes that Hydra Gloves share their model and texture folder with them.

Hydra Gloves come in Emerald (classic black leather with a varnished green emblem), Mangrove (leather, synthetic mesh and brass), Rattler (leather, snakeskin and brass) and Case Hardened (vegan leather printed with a variegated metallic pattern). Despite the name, they are not in the Operation Hydra Case: the wiki's page for that case lists Set 1, with Bloodhound Gloves. Hydra Gloves only come from the Clutch and Revolution cases.

Broken Fang Gloves come in Jade, Needle Point, Unhinged and Yellow-banded, all with the general description only. Their internal names point to a metallic green, a floral design, black snakeskin and a black and yellow frog pattern respectively.

Wear and what to check

All five types share the glove float range in the game files, 0.06 to 0.80. Factory New is a narrow window from 0.06 to 0.07, and Battle-Scarred covers everything from 0.45 to 0.80, so compare actual floats rather than wear names. Gloves have no StatTrak versions.

Since a November 12, 2025 update, glove models and animations in the inventory use the Animgraph 2 system, which Valve says matches the first-person gloves you see in a match. If you plan a Covert trade-up, the case behind each Covert decides the glove set you can get, and only Dead Hand Coverts lead to the 2026 Driver pairs; see our Covert trade-up article.

On CS2Sell, the float range filter on Buy helps you find pairs near the clean end of their wear tier.
