The AK-47, the two M4s and the AWP get their own guides. This one covers the other seven rifles and snipers, which have fewer Coverts but plenty of finishes with unusual histories: a design by Syd Mead, Workshop contest winners and float windows that rule out whole exteriors.
The guns and their sides
| Gun | Side | Type | Price (wiki) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galil AR | T | Rifle | $1,800 |
| FAMAS | CT | Rifle | $1,950 |
| SG 553 | T | Scoped rifle | $3,000 |
| AUG | CT | Scoped rifle | $3,300 |
| SSG 08 | Both | Bolt-action sniper | $1,700 |
| G3SG1 | T | Automatic sniper | $5,000 |
| SCAR-20 | CT | Automatic sniper | $5,000 |
The FAMAS figure reflects the January 2025 patch, in which Valve improved its accuracy and cut the price to $1,950.
Galil AR and FAMAS
The Galil AR's only Covert is Chatterbox from the Chroma Case (January 2015). Valve's description says the skull painted over the dust cover "appears to chatter when the bolt reciprocates". Its float window starts at 0.35, so it has no Factory New or Minimal Wear, and Field-Tested copies only run from 0.35 to 0.38. Classified Galils include Eco (Chroma 2 Case, 0.10 to 0.85) and Sugar Rush (Operation Hydra Case), in cotton candy colours. Cerberus, a Restricted three-headed dog from the Cache Collection, has Souvenir copies from Cache packages at 12 Majors.
The FAMAS has three Coverts. Roll Cage (Gamma 2 Case, August 2016) resembles a mud-splattered car chassis. Commemoration (CS20 Case, October 2019) is painted gold with details celebrating 20 years of Counter-Strike and is capped at 0.50. Bad Trip (Fever Case, March 2025) is covered in brightly coloured monsters.
Two FAMAS finishes have known makers. The Classified Rapid Eye Movement, pink squares painted with lifelike eyes, was a 2021 Dreams & Nightmares contest winner that Valve credited to Sparkwire and Druida. The Restricted Sergeant (Operation Phoenix Case, 2014) was made by Coridium, the Asiimov artist, who told Fragbite in 2014 that he designed it with the UMP-45 Corporal as a muted, rank-themed pair. Djinn (Chroma 2 Case) is inlaid with gold and nickel and engraved with a jinn, and Afterimage (eSports 2013 Winter Case) runs only from 0.02 to 0.40.

AUG and SG 553
The AUG has two Coverts. Chameleon came in the Operation Phoenix Case in February 2014 and is capped at 0.50. Akihabara Accept, a heat-transfer vinyl of an anime magazine cover, comes from the Rising Sun Collection of Operation Bloodhound (May 2015), so it can't be StatTrak.
The AUG's most unusual finish is the Classified Syd Mead from the Gamma 2 Case. Its in-game description says it "has been custom designed by renowned artist Syd Mead", the sci-fi designer Coridium also named as an influence on the Asiimov palette. Other notable AUGs are Death by Puppy (CS20 Case), a multicoloured Pop Dog pattern capped at 0.40; Bengal Tiger (eSports 2014 Summer Case); and the Mil-Spec Hot Rod from the 2013 Assault Collection, chrome candied red and capped at 0.08.
The SG 553 has no Covert. Its Classifieds are Cyrex (Falchion Case), Colony IV (Shattered Web Case), a skeletal red ant over gas masks, Integrale from the 2018 Inferno Collection and Hazard Pay from the 2021 Vertigo Collection, yellow with traffic-cone orange and capped at 0.48. Integrale's description, "a custom paint job paying homage to an Italian racing car", is shared word for word with the Dual Berettas | Twin Turbo from the same collection, and Inferno packages at 11 Majors produced Souvenirs of both.
SSG 08
The SSG 08 is the cheap bolt-action sniper both sides can buy. Its oldest Covert, Blood in the Water (CS:GO Weapon Case 2, November 2013), is an airbrushed shark with a window of only 0.06 to 0.20: Factory New copies are confined to 0.06 to 0.07, and Field-Tested stops at 0.20. Dragonfire (Glove Case, November 2016) shows a dragon snorting fire and is capped at 0.50.
Classified SSGs include Big Iron (Shadow Case), Bloodshot (Shattered Web Case), which starts at 0.14 and so has no Factory New, Turbo Peek (Operation Riptide Case) and Death Strike from the 2021 Dust 2 Collection, an emperor scorpion in streaming sand with Souvenirs from Dust II packages at six Majors.

SCAR-20 and G3SG1
Neither automatic sniper has a Covert. The SCAR-20's Classifieds include Cyrex (Huntsman Case), Cardiac (Operation Vanguard Case), an orange and blue vinyl wrap with flavour text that ends in a flatline, Bloodsport (Gamma Case), the same decal design as the AK-47 and MP7 Coverts but capped at 0.45, and Splash Jam from the Militia map collection, which has no StatTrak version. Its Restricted Emerald (Alpha Collection) is "a memento from Chinatown", chrome candied green and capped at 0.08.
The G3SG1's Classifieds are Flux (Shadow Case), purple and silver metallic paint, and The Executioner (Revolver Case), a display of bone that starts at 0.14. At Restricted, Dream Glade, a forest opening onto blue sky, was another Dreams & Nightmares winner, credited by Valve to Druida, and Chronos from the Gods and Monsters Collection shows watch mechanisms in psychedelic colours.
Before you trade
Several of these finishes skip exteriors entirely: Chatterbox can't be better than Field-Tested, Bloodshot and The Executioner can't be Factory New, Hot Rod and Emerald only come in Factory New and Minimal Wear, and Blood in the Water never gets past low Field-Tested. Compare floats within each window, as the float guide explains. Map collection finishes such as Akihabara Accept, Splash Jam and Death Strike have no StatTrak versions, as our collections vs cases guide explains, while Souvenirs like Integrale and Death Strike carry the gold stickers of a specific Major match, covered in StatTrak vs Souvenir.
