FURIA won PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, beating Nemiga Gaming 3-2 in the best-of-five grand final on October 31, 2026, at the PGL Studio in Bucharest, Romania. Sixteen teams played for $1,250,000, and the title was worth $450,000. It was FURIA's second trophy in two weeks, and it came at the last event in Europe for Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, who retires at the end of the year.
FURIA's run
FalleN, FURIA's captain and in-game leader (the player who calls the team's plays), announced his retirement at IEM Rio on April 17, 2026, and FURIA billed his last four events as a farewell tour, with Bucharest the only one outside Asia. His teammates were Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato, Yuri "yuurih" Santos and Danil "molodoy" Golubenko, coached by Sidnei "sidde" Macedo Pereira Filho.
Twelve teams were invited from the July 6 Valve Regional Standings (VRS), Valve's ranking of teams by results, and four came through regional qualifiers. In the Swiss stage, each round pairs teams with the same win-loss record, and every series is a best of three, first to two maps. Three wins put a team into the eight-team playoffs; three losses send it home.
FURIA beat DENDELE CS 2-0 on October 24, then lost 0-2 to Natus Vincere and 1-2 to Team Spirit, which left them one defeat from elimination. They beat TYLOO and Team Liquid, both 2-0, to go through at 3-2.
Their quarter-final on October 29 was a rematch with BetBoom Team, whom FURIA had beaten 3-2 in the final of an event in Malta on October 18. FURIA led 11-2 on Dust II before BB won ten of the next 11 rounds to force overtime, extra rounds played from 12-12. FURIA won all four of them for 16-12 and then took Cache 13-7.
In the semi-final on October 30 they met MOUZ, who had beaten them twice at ESL Pro League Season 24, both times 2-0. FURIA took Dust II 13-6, winning the last seven rounds, lost Mirage 9-13 after leading 8-4 at the half, and won the last map, Cache, 13-9. molodoy had the best rating of the series.
In June, FURIA had lost the IEM Cologne Major 2026 final 3-0 to Team Falcons. The Malta title was their first of 2026, and Bucharest made it two in a row.

The grand final
Nemiga played with Beksultan "khaN" Ospan, Daniel "SYPH0" Ageyev, Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin, Kirill "Xant3r" Kononov and their in-game leader, Nikita "robo" Dushin, coached by Anton "boX" Burko. They started in an open qualifier and won the European closed qualifier, beating B8 3-0 in its final on September 12.
In Bucharest they beat Legacy 2-0, winning Ancient 25-23 after four overtimes, then lost to BB and Aurora Gaming. Like FURIA, they recovered from 1-2, beating DENDELE and The MongolZ. In the playoffs they beat FUT Esports 2-0 and Team Vitality 2-0, with robo on 46 kills and a 1.52 rating against Vitality, to reach what HLTV called their first big-event final.
In the veto, the teams took turns removing and picking maps from the pool of seven. Nemiga removed Inferno and FURIA Anubis; Nemiga picked Ancient and Cache, FURIA Dust II and Mirage. Nuke was left as the decider, the fifth map, played only at 2-2.
| Map | Picked by | FURIA | Nemiga |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ancient | Nemiga | 2 | 13 |
| Dust II | FURIA | 13 | 5 |
| Cache | Nemiga | 13 | 2 |
| Mirage | FURIA | 11 | 13 |
| Nuke | Decider | 13 | 6 |
FURIA started Ancient on the counter-terrorist (CT) side, the defenders, and Nemiga's attack won the first half 10-2, then the first three rounds after the switch. KaiR0N- had 17 kills and a 2.01 rating, molodoy went 2-13, and HLTV saw YEKINDAR, at 1.57, as the only FURIA player who resisted.
On Dust II the roles reversed. FURIA lost both pistol rounds, the first round of each half, yet won the first half 10-2 on the terrorist (T) side and the map 13-5. YEKINDAR was rated 1.97, and khaN, with 19 kills and 1.65, was the only Nemiga player who kept up his Ancient form.
Cache, Nemiga's second pick, was even more one-sided. FURIA allowed five bomb plants while winning the first half 10-2 on CT and closed it 13-2. FalleN went 17-6 for a 2.11 rating, and YEKINDAR added a triple kill in a pistol round.
Mirage could have ended the series. Nemiga took the first half 9-3 on CT and the second pistol round for 10-3 before YEKINDAR, 20-13 on the map, led FURIA back to 10-10. Nemiga won three of the last four rounds for 13-11, the last of them with four players against FURIA's five.
Nuke decided the title. FURIA led only 7-5 at the half on CT, with khaN keeping Nemiga close, but won the second half 6-1 on T for 13-6. molodoy had 19 kills, 11 of them on T, and a 1.61 rating.
YEKINDAR finished the series 82-57 in kills and deaths, with 99.6 average damage per round (ADR) and a 1.56 rating, and topped the scoreboard on three of the five maps. KSCERATO was FURIA's next best at 1.15, and khaN led Nemiga at 1.18. "You know the term, life tournament? Don't expect this every tournament," YEKINDAR told James "BanKs" Banks after the final, as HLTV reported.

Standout players
HLTV named YEKINDAR the event's MVP, its award for the most valuable player: the first of his career, although he had made HLTV's top 20 players of the year three times. The ratings here are HLTV's Rating 3.0, which the guide to CS2 stats explains. In the playoffs YEKINDAR ranked first in rating (1.37), damage per round (91.6) and kills per round (0.82).
Over the 21 maps FURIA played, his 1.27 was the second-best rating of the event. Only Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko of BB was higher, at 1.31 over nine maps. HLTV had molodoy and SYPH0 as YEKINDAR's closest rivals for the award going into the final, where they were rated 0.90 and 0.91. In the third-place match, MOUZ's Adrian "xelex" Vincze went 38-24 for a 1.65 rating.

Vitality played the event without their captain, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, who took a short break around the birth of his first child, and this was the last match for his stand-in, Justinas "jL" Lekavicius. Aurora, the 2025 champions, lost their quarter-final 0-2 to MOUZ, and Vitality beat NAVI 2-1 in the remaining one. BB and FUT both went 3-0 in the Swiss stage but lost their first playoff series.

What's next
FURIA now fly to Asia. IEM Beijing runs from November 2 to 8, followed by BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 2 in Hong Kong, and the PGL Major Singapore 2026 will be FalleN's last event. Vitality skip Beijing, and apEX returns for BLAST Rivals.
HLTV reported on October 27 that Nemiga's wins in Bucharest had sealed their invite to the same Major. Its 32 teams come from the VRS that Valve publishes on November 2.
