Nuke callouts are harder to learn than most because the map is stacked: A site sits directly above B, and the radar switches between an upper and a lower image depending on your height. CS2's Nuke is a port of the layout Valve rebuilt in 2016, so the CS2 Nuke callouts below are the ones teams have used since then, grouped by level and area.
Outside and T side callouts
From T Spawn, Terrorists either go inside through Lobby or head across Outside, the open yard around the building, towards Secret, Mini and Garage.
| Callout | Where it is |
|---|---|
| T Spawn | Where Terrorists start the round |
| T Roof | Roof above Lobby, reached by ladders, with a way onto Silo |
| Outside | The open yard around the building, also called Yard |
| Silo | Large silo on Outside |
| Red | Red container in the middle of Outside |
| Garage | Building at the far end of Outside on the CT side |
| Secret | Stairs from Outside down to the lower level and B |
| Mini | Small room between Outside and A site |
| CT Box | Box just outside CT Spawn |
Upper level callouts: A site and the rooms around it
The upper floor of the building holds A site. From Lobby, Squeaky and Hut open onto A, while a chain of small rooms leads the other way to Ramp.
| Callout | Where it is |
|---|---|
| Lobby | Main room on the T side of the building |
| Squeaky | Room off Lobby with a door onto A |
| Hut | Small hut leading from Lobby onto A |
| Tetris | Two boxes next to Hut |
| A Site | The upper bombsite |
| Heaven | Raised room above A site, over Hell |
| Rafters | Upper ledges around A site, on three sides |
| Hell | Room under Heaven, next to Lockers |
| Lockers | Room next to Hell with windows onto Outside |
| Vent | Breakable vent on A that leads down towards B |
| Radio | Small room off Lobby on the way to Ramp |
| Trophy | Room after Radio, on the way to Ramp |
| Control | Short corridor from Trophy into Ramp |
Ramp and lower level callouts: B site
B is directly below A. Terrorists reach it down Ramp or through Secret and Tunnels, and the vents link it with A.
| Callout | Where it is |
|---|---|
| Ramp | Big room and slope from Control down towards B |
| Boost | Stacked boxes on Ramp beside the Control entrance |
| Headshot | Large box at the far end of Ramp |
| Tunnels | Corridors from Secret towards B |
| Decon | Room between Tunnels and B |
| B Site | The lower bombsite |
| Double | Double doors onto B |
| Single | Room with a single door onto B |
| Window | Window looking down onto B |
| Dark | Corner of B site |

How CS2 Nuke callouts differ from the in-game names
CS2 shows the name of the area you stand in under the radar and in team chat, as our Mirage callouts guide explains. On Nuke the radar file defines two images, a default one and a lower one, and swaps them by height. Nuke's map file in the build of October 22, 2026 has 29 named areas. Most match the callouts: Lobby, Squeaky, Trophy, Hut, Heaven, Hell, Rafters, Ramp, Garage, Silo, Secret, Outside, Mini, Tunnels and Decon. These differ:
| Callout | In-game name |
|---|---|
| T Roof | Roof |
| Radio | Vending |
| Control | Control Room |
| Lockers | Locker Room |
| Vent | Vents |
| Window on B | Observation |
| T Spawn, CT Spawn | T Start, CT Start |
| A Site, B Site | Bombsite A, Bombsite B |
The radar also names a few areas that the guides above don't list: Admin, a room between Ramp and Hell; Hut Roof, the top of Hut; Catwalk, a strip beside Heaven; and Crane, high over A site. Valve's own notes use Vending too, for example when it fixed flickering shadows "at vending" in June 2023. Smaller spots such as Tetris, Red, Boost, Headshot, Double and Dark have no in-game name of their own.
Two names cover both floors. Secret and Ramp each have one part on the upper level and one on the lower, so a call like "Ramp" can mean the top or the bottom of it. Inferno has a different trap: Quad and Kitchen mean one place on the radar and another in calls, as our Inferno callouts guide shows.
Nuke in CS2: what changed
The current layout dates from 2016, when Valve rebuilt Nuke for Operation Wildfire. Valve's page on that rebuild already used today's names: the Squeaky door, the Mini entrance, players in Heaven, a route over Hut to Rafters, a Decontamination room ("Decon") between Tunnels and B, and vents between the sites changed from an "H" to an "S" shape.
CS2 kept that layout with new lighting. Valve's CS2 notes for the map are fixes to collision, holes, lighting and stuck spots, plus work on sound, which matters on a stacked map:
- June 29, 2023: Nuke arrived in the limited test, and Valve added a "unique audio occlusion layer to help with vertical sound positioning".
- May 7, 2024: Valve fixed a bug that stopped HE grenades from breaking the vents.
- April 1, 2026: vertical occlusion became "more gradual at the edges of transition points in Nuke and Vertigo".
Our map pool history tracks Nuke's spells in and out of the Active Duty pool, including its 2016 return after the rebuild.
