The USP-S is one of the two pistols a Counter-Terrorist can spawn with, and it has 45 finishes in the current game files. This guide covers the notable ones: the Coverts, the 2014 Huntsman story behind the Orion, and the map collection finishes that carry Souvenir versions.
The pistol
Valve added the USP-S and the M4A1-S on August 14, 2013, with the Arms Deal update. It is one of two CT starting pistols, with the P2000 as the alternative, and the Counter-Strike Wiki lists it at $200 with a 12-round magazine and a detachable silencer. Our pistol skins guide covers the P2000 and the other sidearms.
Early finishes and the Huntsman Case
| Finish | Source | Released | Rarity | Float range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dark Water | CS:GO Weapon Case | Aug 2013 | Restricted | 0.10–0.26 |
| Overgrowth | Operation Bravo Case | Sep 2013 | Restricted | 0.06–0.80 |
| Serum | CS:GO Weapon Case 2 | Nov 2013 | Classified | 0.00–0.25 |
| Guardian | Operation Phoenix Weapon Case | Feb 2014 | Restricted | 0.00–0.38 |
| Orion | Huntsman Collection | May 2014 | Classified | 0.00–0.50 |
| Caiman | Huntsman Weapon Case | Jun 2014 | Classified | 0.00–0.40 |
Dark Water shares its aquatic-stripe finish and its narrow 0.10 to 0.26 window with the M4A1-S version from the same case, so it only exists in Minimal Wear and Field-Tested. Serum is a digital pattern in metallic paints over chrome, capped at 0.25. Guardian is painted cobalt blue with the CT logo stencilled on the slide, matching the M4A1-S | Guardian from the Winter Offensive Case.
Orion, a modern graphic design, came in the Huntsman Weapon Case on May 1, 2014. In June, after the DMCA notice over the M4A4 | Howl, Valve said that every item sharing revenue with either Howl contributor had been discontinued and that the case had been revised. The Counter-Strike Wiki lists the Orion among the removed skins, credits it to one of those contributors and notes that Caiman was added in the revision. Orion is still part of the Huntsman Collection in the game files, so trade-up contracts can still produce it, but no case drops it. The Howl article has the full story.

The four Coverts
| Finish | Case | Released | Float range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kill Confirmed | Shadow Case | Sep 2015 | 0.00–1.00 |
| Neo-Noir | Spectrum Case | Mar 2017 | 0.00–0.70 |
| The Traitor | Snakebite Case | May 2021 | 0.00–1.00 |
| Printstream | Recoil Case | Jul 2022 | 0.00–0.85 |
All four can be StatTrak. Kill Confirmed shows a bullet shattering a skull, and its flavour text reads "2 in the chest, 1 in the head". Neo-Noir, a stylised blue-magenta woman over grey, is the earliest Neo-Noir in the game; the M4A4, AWP, Glock-18 and UMP-45 versions all came later. The Traitor takes the Hanged Man tarot card as its theme, joining the AK-47's Empress and the M4A4's Emperor. Printstream brought the black and white pearlescent design to the USP-S in the Recoil Case, about two years after the Desert Eagle and M4A1-S versions.
Classified picks
- Cortex (Clutch Case, February 2018): pink accents over a silver and black base.
- Monster Mashup (Operation Broken Fang Case, December 2020): a green monster and urban-art icons, with a pearlescent silencer.
- Target Acquired (Control Collection, December 2020): a map pattern with a bird's-eye HUD overlay, capped at 0.50. As an operation collection skin it has no StatTrak version.
- Whiteout (2021 Train Collection): spray-painted all white, from 0.06 to 0.80, also without StatTrak.
- Jawbreaker (Kilowatt Case, February 2024): a barking dog in high-gloss paint running from the grip to the silencer, which reads "GOOD DOGGY".
Restricted finishes worth knowing
Ticket to Hell, white technical designs over black, was one of the 17 winning entries in Valve's 2021 Dreams & Nightmares Workshop contest; Valve's winners post credits it to supremat, and each winner received $100,000. It shipped in the Dreams & Nightmares Case in January 2022.
Three map collection finishes have Souvenir copies. Road Rash, a flying bullet weathered with sandpaper, came out of Overpass souvenir packages at 18 Majors from 2014 to 2024. Orange Anolis, a red and gold lizard-scale pattern capped at 0.37, appeared in Dust II packages from Stockholm 2021 to Budapest 2025, and Ancient Visions in Ancient packages over the same span.
The CS2-era weekly drop collections added more: Royal Guard (Ascent, March 2025), a solid blue slide with gold accents, and Sleeping Potion (Harlequin, January 2026), a purple camo with a pearlescent finish.

Before you trade a USP-S skin
Check whether the finish can have the version you want: StatTrak only exists for case finishes, and Souvenirs for map collections that appeared in Major packages or, since 2026, for weapons converted with the Souvenir-O-Matic. Then check the float against the finish's own window, using the float guide. On CS2Sell, the StatTrak, Souvenir and float range filters on Buy do the sorting for you.
