The Clutch Case was the second case with gloves instead of knives, and its 24 pairs are a completely new set: new finishes for five returning glove types and a new studded type, the Hydra Gloves. Here is everything in the case, how glove wear works and where the case and its gloves stand in CS2 as of October 2026.
Release
Valve announced the case on February 14, 2018, in a post titled "Welcome to the Clutch", and the matching release notes are dated February 15. Both describe it the same way: 17 community-designed weapon finishes and "24 new glove finishes". The update also added Community Capsule 2018, eight stickers from four community artists sold as in-game offers, more adjustments to Nuke, and updates to the AK-47 | Frontside Misty and M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire finishes. The case opens with its own Clutch Case Key.
The Counter-Strike Wiki adds a detail from before launch: the contents leaked through a Steam Workshop exploit that let ordinary users see items tagged as admin-only, a bug that was fixed afterwards.
The 24 gloves
| Type | Finishes |
|---|---|
| Hydra Gloves | Emerald, Case Hardened, Rattler, Mangrove |
| Driver Gloves | Racing Green, Overtake, King Snake, Imperial Plaid |
| Hand Wraps | Duct Tape, Cobalt Skulls, Overprint, Arboreal |
| Moto Gloves | Transport, Polygon, Turtle, POW (written with an exclamation mark in game) |
| Specialist Gloves | Fade, Buckshot, Crimson Web, Mogul |
| Sport Gloves | Bronze Morph, Amphibious, Vice, Omega |
The names match both the wiki and the game's item files. Compared with the first set in the Glove Case, the Hydra Gloves take the place of the Bloodhound Gloves and every finish is new. One detail catches people out: the Operation Hydra Case of 2017 does not contain Hydra Gloves. The game files show it reuses the Glove Case's set.

A few finishes share their names with famous knife finishes. The Hydra Gloves | Case Hardened is the only glove version of Case Hardened, which our Case Hardened guide covers alongside the knives, and the Specialist Gloves come in Fade and Crimson Web.
Glove wear and StatTrak
Glove finishes don't set their own float range in the item file, so they use the default of 0.06 to 0.80. Factory New pairs exist only between 0.06 and 0.07, and none can be cleaner than that. The gloves sit in the slot knives fill in other cases, which the odds Perfect World published in 2017 put at about 0.26% of openings. The game files also list only a normal version of the glove pool, so there are no StatTrak gloves, while every gun in the case has a StatTrak version. Our gloves guide covers all the glove types and sets side by side.

The guns
The grades come from the game's loot list, which matches the wiki.
| Grade | Skins |
|---|---|
| Covert | M4A4 Neo-Noir, MP7 Bloodsport |
| Classified | AUG Stymphalian, AWP Mortis, USP-S Cortex |
| Restricted | Glock-18 Moonrise, Negev Lionfish, Nova Wild Six, MAG-7 SWAG-7, UMP-45 Arctic Wolf |
| Mil-Spec | PP-Bizon Night Riot, Five-SeveN Flame Test, MP9 Black Sand, P2000 Urban Hazard, R8 Revolver Grip, SG 553 Aloha, XM1014 Oxide Blaze |
From the item file: the M4A4 | Neo-Noir is capped at 0.90, the MP7 | Bloodsport at 0.65 and the AWP | Mortis at 0.64, while the USP-S | Cortex uses the full range. Two names echo the Spectrum Case: the USP-S | Neo-Noir and AK-47 | Bloodsport were its Coverts in March 2017. The MAG-7 | SWAG-7, named after a community nickname for the gun, is capped at 0.92, and the wiki notes that the Glock-18 | Moonrise has a very small chance of showing a star in its pattern.

The Revolution Case link and the case today
The game files point one later case at the same glove list: the Revolution Case of 2023. So these 24 pairs did not stop entering the game when the Clutch Case left the drop rotation. Community trackers list the Revolution Case among the weekly drops in 2026; our drop pool guide follows the current list.
The Clutch Case itself is not in the current weekly drop pool. Drop trackers have recorded no rare-pool drops since December 2025, as Hotspawn reported that month, and Valve hasn't commented. Since November 27, 2024 you can also open older cases as rentals, which lend you their weapon finishes for a week instead of one item to keep.
On October 22, 2025, Valve let five normal Covert skins be traded up into a knife or gloves from the collection of one of the inputs. The M4A4 | Neo-Noir and MP7 | Bloodsport therefore lead to these gloves, as do the Revolution Case's Coverts. StatTrak contracts only return knives, so they offer no route here.
