Revolution Case (2023): M4A4 Temukau, the Clutch gloves and the Doodle Lore swap

The Revolution Case arrived on February 9, 2023, the last case before CS2. All 17 skins by rarity, the 24 Clutch gloves, why the AWP Doodle Lore became the Duality, and its drop status in 2026.

The Revolution Case was the last weapon case released in CS:GO before Counter-Strike 2 replaced it. It arrived in February 2023 with the M4A4 | Temukau and AK-47 | Head Shot as its Coverts and the Clutch Case gloves as its rare special items. Within a week, one of its skins had been swapped out over a copied artwork. In 2026 it is still dropping.

Released with a sticker capsule and a music kit

Valve released the case on February 9, 2023 in a post titled "Case, Capsule, Kit, Oh My". It bundled three items: the Revolution Case with "17 weapon finishes from community artists and the gloves from the Clutch Case as rare special items", the Espionage Sticker Capsule with 21 stickers from Workshop artists, and the Denzel Curry ULTIMATE music kit, with tracks including "Walkin" and "ULTIMATE" from his 2022 album. Espionage is one of the community capsules covered in our guide to sticker capsules outside the Majors.

No new case followed in CS:GO. The next one was the Kilowatt Case in February 2024, the first case made for CS2, which makes the Revolution Case the final entry of the CS:GO era.

The Doodle Lore that became the Duality

At launch, the case's Classified AWP was the AWP | Doodle Lore. Within days, players pointed out that its dragon closely matched a design by the artist Vexx, as Dexerto reported. On February 15, 2023 Valve's release notes stated that the Doodle Lore "has been replaced by the AWP | Duality in the Revolution Case" and that existing Doodle Lore items "have been converted".

That second part was the notable one. When the M4A4 | Howl was pulled from its case years earlier, existing copies stayed in inventories and became the only Contraband skin. This time Valve replaced every copy, so the Doodle Lore no longer exists as an item. Our article on the Howl and the Contraband rarity tells the earlier story.

The M4A4 | Temukau faced similar accusations. Its creator, f0rnez, rejected them, saying he had drawn the artwork by hand and only collected inspiration. At the time, Dexerto noted that no artist had claimed the M4A4 copied their work, and the skin was never changed.

Contents by rarity

The Counter-Strike Wiki and the game's current item data agree on the 17 skins, with the Duality in place of the Doodle Lore.

All 17 gun skins can come as StatTrak; the gloves cannot, since gloves have no StatTrak versions.

Float caps. The MAC-10 | Sakkaku has one of the narrowest ranges here, 0.21 to 0.79, so it exists only in Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The P90 | Neoqueen stops at 0.60, the Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit at 0.75 and the M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S at 0.80. The two Coverts differ too: the Temukau is capped at 0.80, while the Head Shot uses the full 0.00 to 1.00 range. Our float guide explains the tiers.

The Clutch gloves

The 24 gloves first appeared in the Clutch Case in 2018, and the Revolution Case reuses the set unchanged, so a pair from either case is the same item.

Glove typeFinishes
Hydra GlovesCase Hardened, Emerald, Mangrove, Rattler
Driver GlovesImperial Plaid, King Snake, Overtake, Racing Green
Hand WrapsArboreal, Cobalt Skulls, Duct Tape, Overprint
Moto GlovesPolygon, Transport, Turtle, POW (written with an exclamation mark in game)
Specialist GlovesBuckshot, Crimson Web, Fade, Mogul
Sport GlovesAmphibious, Bronze Morph, Omega, Vice

One point trips people up: despite the name, the Hydra Gloves are not in the Operation Hydra Case. They exist only in this set. Every pair has a float between 0.06 and 0.80, like all gloves, and our gloves guide covers types and wear.

Where the case stands in 2026

The Revolution Case is still in the weekly drop pool. Techaeris counted it among the five containers left after older cases stopped dropping in December 2025, and it stayed when the Dead Hand Terminal took the Recoil Case's place in March 2026. As of October 2026, community drop trackers list it with the Dreams & Nightmares and Kilowatt cases and the Genesis and Dead Hand terminals. Valve doesn't publish the odds for each container.

It also means the Clutch gloves are still entering the game through case openings, while the Clutch Case itself no longer drops. For how the pool works today, see our guide to weekly drops. If you want a particular pair instead, the weapon, wear and float range filters on Buy let you compare all six glove types.
