Anubis callouts in CS2: radar names, E-box, Window and both bombsites

Anubis callouts in CS2: all 28 radar place names plus nicknames Valve uses, like E-box, Window and Heaven, grouped by T side, mid, A and B, with the 2026 changes.

Anubis callouts start with a long list of official names: the radar knows 28 places on this map. On top of those sit the nicknames teams use, and on Anubis in CS2 Valve uses several of them itself, from E-box in its patch notes to Window in its map guide. This guide groups both by area and describes each spot from the radar.

How Anubis callouts work in CS2

Every area of a CS2 map has an official place name, shown next to a teammate's name in game and recorded in demos. MapSense, a demo viewer that read the names from 17 Anubis demos, counts 28 on Anubis. Ancient, by comparison, has 18.

Valve's own files fill in many of the gaps. Its January 2026 notes added a hole "between E-box and Back of B", and a February fix mentioned the "connector (e-box :P) hole", so E-box and the radar's Connector are the same room. The official map guide that ships with the game has lineups called Heaven, Mid, T Stairs and Window, and the spawn notes in Valve's Retakes file use names such as "camera", "pizza" and "mid bridge". Every name below is either on the radar or backed by at least two sources.

The Anubis layout at a glance

Picture the radar with CT spawn at the top and T spawn at the bottom. Bombsite A is at the top right and Bombsite B on the left, the opposite of Ancient, where A is on the left. Mid sits in the centre, with a canal running under a bridge on the T side.

Anubis is a community map, made by Roald van der Scheur, jakuza and jd40 according to the Counter-Strike Wiki. It joined the Active Duty pool in November 2022, left in July 2025 and returned in January 2026, as our map pool history shows.

T side callouts

AreaCalloutWhere it is
T sideT SpawnThe Terrorist start at the bottom of the radar
T sideStreetThe open area up and to the right of T spawn
T sideT StairsThe stairs above Street that lead up to Canal
T sideT Side UpperThe upper T-side area on the right, on the way to A Main
T sideRuinsThe area up and to the left of T spawn, towards B
T sideOutside LongThe approach to B Main on the far left, called B Long

Mid callouts

AreaCalloutWhere it is
MidBridgeThe short bridge that leads Ts into mid
MidCanalThe water channel that runs under Bridge, right of mid
MidMiddleThe centre of the map, called Mid
MidMid DoorsThe double doors into mid, next to Bridge
MidWindowThe spot by Mid Doors that Valve's guide smokes and molotovs from the T side
MidHouseA sheltered CT spot by the mid doors that looks onto Bridge
MidPalaceThe route from mid towards the back of B

Valve's Retakes file also has a spawn called "bridge window" between Bridge and Mid Doors. House has two sources: Hotspawn's guide describes it as the spot CTs use to peek Bridge early, and an older Valve patch fixed a wallbang through "the mid building between double door and the CT house".

A site callouts

AreaCalloutWhere it is
A siteMainThe T entrance to A on the right, called A Main
A siteFountainA raised platform on A with a pillar and a view into A Main
A siteBombsite AThe site at the top right, built around a pillar
A sitePlatA raised spot overlooking A, to the right of Heaven
A siteHeavenThe raised CT platform above the site
A siteWalkwayThe raised path above A that the mid route feeds onto
A siteCameraThe small tunnel between mid and A
CT sideTunnelThe CT tunnel from behind spawn up to Heaven
CT sideTunnel StairsThe stairs between Tunnel and the A side

Camera is Valve's word as well as the community's: its Retakes file puts a "camera" spawn and a "camera towards a" spawn in that passage, and Hotspawn describes Camera as the small tunnel linking mid and A. Heaven is backed three times over, with a radar name, a Valve guide lineup and a Retakes spawn.

B site and CT side callouts

AreaCalloutWhere it is
B siteB MainThe T entrance onto B from Outside Long
B sitePizzaA ledge to the left of B Main, named for its shape and also called Ledge
B siteBombsite BThe site on the left, built around an obelisk
B sitePillarThe main pillar on B
B siteBack of BThe rear of the site, linked to E-box by a hole since January 2026
B siteConnectorThe radar's name for E-box, the room Ts use to reach B from the canal side
B siteBricksThe area between Palace and B
CT sideAlleyThe CT-side passage next to B
CT sideLower TunnelThe CT passage below Snipers Nest, towards B
CT sideSnipers NestA raised CT position with a narrow view into B, popular with AWPers
CT sideCT SpawnThe CT start at the top of the radar
CT sideCT Side UpperThe upper area beside CT spawn, towards Snipers Nest
CT sideWaterThe radar's name for the space behind CT spawn, which Hotspawn calls Beach

Two Waters cause confusion. The radar's Water is behind CT spawn, matching Valve's "ct spawn water" spawn, while Hotspawn uses Water for the river area outside A Main. Say which one you mean.

Anubis in CS2: the 2026 changes

Anubis came back to Active Duty on January 21, 2026 with five layout changes in Valve's notes:

  • The drop from Bridge moved next to Mid Doors.
  • Mid Doors now open the other way round.
  • A hole was added between E-box and Back of B.
  • The crates on Bombsite A moved up the steps onto Walkway.
  • Scaffolding was added to the pillar on Bombsite A.

The next day Valve updated the radar to match, and on February 4 it adjusted clipping around the new drop and the E-box hole. When Cache entered the pool on July 8, 2026, Overpass made way, so Anubis kept its place. Our Premier Season Four article covers the rest of that January update.
