Counter-Strike 2 has 34 guns, and Valve publishes no official stat sheet for them. The numbers below come from the weapon data file shipped with the game, as of the October 8, 2026 update, with dated price changes from Valve's release notes. Damage is the base damage of one bullet before armour, distance and hit location change it, and fire rate is converted from the time between shots.
Pistols
| Pistol | Side | Price | Damage | Magazine | Rounds per minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Glock-18 | T | $200 | 30 | 20 | 400 |
| USP-S | CT | $200 | 35 | 12 | 353 |
| P2000 | CT | $200 | 35 | 13 | 353 |
| P250 | Both | $300 | 38 | 13 | 400 |
| Dual Berettas | Both | $300 | 38 | 30 | 500 |
| Five-SeveN | CT | $500 | 32 | 20 | 400 |
| Tec-9 | T | $500 | 33 | 18 | 500 |
| CZ75-Auto | Both | $500 | 31 | 12 | 600 |
| R8 Revolver | Both | $600 | 86 | 8 | 120 |
| Desert Eagle | Both | $700 | 53 | 7 | 267 |
The Glock, USP-S or P2000 is what you spawn with, and the Glock also has a burst-fire mode. The P250 is the cheap upgrade for pistol rounds and ecos. The Five-SeveN, Tec-9 and fully automatic CZ75-Auto cost $500 and suit close-range fights, while the Desert Eagle trades a small magazine for heavy damage and rewards accurate players.

SMGs
| SMG | Side | Price | Damage | Magazine | Rounds per minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MAC-10 | T | $1,050 | 29 | 30 | 800 |
| UMP-45 | Both | $1,200 | 35 | 25 | 667 |
| MP9 | CT | $1,250 | 26 | 30 | 857 |
| PP-Bizon | Both | $1,300 | 27 | 64 | 750 |
| MP7 | Both | $1,400 | 30 | 30 | 750 |
| MP5-SD | Both | $1,400 | 28 | 30 | 750 |
| P90 | Both | $2,350 | 26 | 50 | 857 |
SMGs are cheap and quick to fire but lose damage over distance faster than rifles. Every one except the P90 pays a $600 kill reward instead of $300, so two kills with a MAC-10 more than pay for it. They also let you move faster than a rifle: 240 units per second with the MAC-10, MP9 or PP-Bizon against 215 with the AK-47.
Shotguns and machine guns
| Weapon | Side | Price | Damage | Magazine | Rounds per minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nova | Both | $1,050 | 9 pellets of 26 | 8 | 68 |
| Sawed-Off | T | $1,100 | 8 pellets of 32 | 7 | 71 |
| MAG-7 | CT | $1,300 | 8 pellets of 30 | 5 | 71 |
| XM1014 | Both | $2,000 | 6 pellets of 20 | 7 | 171 |
| Negev | Both | $1,700 | 35 | 150 | 800 |
| M249 | Both | $5,200 | 32 | 100 | 750 |
Shotguns are for holding tight corners and pay $900 a kill, except the faster-firing XM1014, which has paid $600 since April 2024. The two machine guns carry belts of 150 and 100 rounds, and the Negev slows you to 150 units per second, the lowest running speed of any gun.
Rifles
| Rifle | Side | Price | Damage | Magazine | Rounds per minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Galil AR | T | $1,800 | 30 | 35 | 667 |
| FAMAS | CT | $1,950 | 30 | 25 | 667 |
| AK-47 | T | $2,700 | 36 | 30 | 600 |
| M4A4 | CT | $2,900 | 33 | 30 | 667 |
| M4A1-S | CT | $2,900 | 38 | 20 | 600 |
| SG 553 | T | $3,000 | 30 | 30 | 545 |
| AUG | CT | $3,300 | 28 | 30 | 600 |
The AK-47 is the Terrorists' main rifle. The Counter-Strike Wiki notes that one AK headshot kills through a helmet, which neither M4 can do. CTs choose between the M4A4, with the bigger magazine and faster fire, and the silenced M4A1-S, with more damage per bullet but only 20 rounds; both now cost the same. The Galil AR and FAMAS, which also has a burst mode, are the cheaper rifles for force buys, and the SG 553 and AUG add a scope for holding long angles.

Sniper rifles
| Rifle | Side | Price | Damage | Magazine | Rounds per minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SSG 08 | Both | $1,700 | 88 | 10 | 48 |
| AWP | Both | $4,750 | 115 | 5 | 41 |
| G3SG1 | T | $5,000 | 80 | 20 | 240 |
| SCAR-20 | CT | $5,000 | 80 | 20 | 240 |
The AWP's 115 base damage and near-total armour penetration mean one hit to the head, chest or stomach kills, but it pays only $100 a kill and slows you to 100 units per second while scoped. The SSG 08 is the cheap, mobile alternative. The two auto-snipers fire much faster and cost more than an AWP.
Grenades and equipment
The HE grenade and smoke cost $300 each, the flashbang $200, the Terrorists' Molotov $400, the CTs' incendiary $500 and the decoy $50. Kevlar is $650, Kevlar and helmet $1,000 and the CT defuse kit $400. The Zeus x27 costs $200 and, since February 2024, recharges after 30 seconds instead of being used up.
What changed since launch
| Weapon | Change | Date |
|---|---|---|
| M4A4 | $3,100 to $3,000 | May 23, 2024 |
| Incendiary grenade | $600 to $500 | May 23, 2024 |
| M4A4 | $3,000 to $2,900 | January 28, 2025 |
| FAMAS | $2,050 to $1,950, better accuracy | January 28, 2025 |
| MP9 | More recoil, much worse jumping accuracy | July 15, 2025 |
| MP7 and MP5-SD | $1,500 to $1,400, slightly more damage | January 21, 2026 |
| PP-Bizon | $1,400 to $1,300 | January 21, 2026 |
| AUG | Reload half a second faster | October 8, 2026 |
The game files put the January 2026 damage changes at 29 to 30 for the MP7 and 27 to 28 for the MP5-SD. Since March 2026, reloading also throws away the rest of the magazine, which our reload article explains. For kill rewards and round money, see the CS2 economy guide.
If you want a skin for one particular gun, the weapon filter on Buy narrows listings to that model.
